Primary School Teachers

We are seeking effective and innovative Primary School Teachers to join our foundation team. The successful applicants will possess developing pedagogical knowledge, demonstrate Christian character, and embody inclusive practice, including a deep understanding of models for differentiation. These roles are crucial for establishing a vibrant and effective learning environment that reflects the College's Anglican ethos and commitment to strong educational outcomes.

Teachers will be responsible for:

  • Designing, delivering, and assessing engaging and effective learning programs that cater to the diverse needs of learners.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to highly effective teaching and learning that leads self, leads learning, and leads others within the College community.
  • Implementing High Impact Teaching Strategies (HITS) to maximize learner engagement, understanding, and achievement across all curriculum areas.

Essential:

  • Registered Teacher:
    Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) in Canberra.
  • Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check:
    A current and valid WWVP registration in the ACT.
  • Anglican Ethos and College Values:
    A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Anglican ethos, Christian values, and the College values of Courage, Love, and Character, with the ability to integrate these into teaching practice and school life, including effective and relational academic care.
  • Pedagogical Expertise:
    Demonstrated age-appropriate pedagogical knowledge and the ability to implement innovative and effective teaching strategies, including a strong understanding of models for differentiation.

  • Leadership in Learning:

Educational and Operational Leader in Early Education School

We are seeking an effective and innovative Early Childhood Educator to join our foundation team.

As our Early Education School Educational & Operational Leader, you will:

  • Lead pedagogical excellence and support Early Childhood Teachers through mentoring and model best practices.
  • Guide development, implementation, and daily operation of high-quality programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Provide hands-on operational leadership including rostering, reporting, and seamless coordination of daily routines.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment.
  • Initially, you will also contribute directly to the classroom as the College grows.

Collaborate with educators to plan and implement engaging EYLF-based programs.

  • Ensure documentation reflects children's learning, agency, and developmental progress.
  • Monitor and ensure a safe, hygienic learning space.
  • Conduct audits and enforce health, safety, and risk-management practices.
  • Mentor, supervise, and coordinate educators, fostering professional growth.
  • Manage staff rostering and orientation for new team members.
  • Lead annual performance development processes.
  • Establish respectful, supportive relationships with children.
  • Support staff in managing challenging behaviours and upholding child rights.
  • Foster strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders, promoting program engagement.
  • Ensure practices align with NQF, NQS, and College policies.
  • Guide understanding of EYLF, NQF, and NQS among staff.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and lead team meetings.
  • Contribute actively to policy compliance, Quality Improvement Plans, and service evaluation.
  • Operate professionally, supporting College leadership as nominated.

Strong knowledge of EYLF and NQS, with experience designing inclusive, high-quality learning programs.

  • Skilled in maintaining regulatory standards, health and hygiene practices, and risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with children, families, and staff.
  • Confident in resolving challenges and supporting continuous improvement in early education settings.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People (ACT) card.
  • First Aid, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.
  • Food Safety, Handling & Hygiene certification.
